Hi. Found this on another forum.

    Unplug the DMR HS2.
Wait about ten to fifteen minutes,
    plug the unit in.
Do not put the unit on but hit the open close button. This should open the tray while powering the unit. If this does not work, turn the unit off and try again. This may requie the unit being unplugged again. The open close button needs to be activated before the unit enters the recovery mode and locks everything up.

    Hope this helps.

Try pressing and holding the Power and Stop buttons for 5 seconds.

no luck guys, does no enter the recovery mode to.
i manage to pull out the disk by opening it,and pushing down the dvd tray!
once i plug it on again i could ear the tray moving inside and is stuck up again how it was before with the dvd in,still no control at all on any command, just the time and the "dvd" "video" led both lighting up:mad:

The only other thing is to leave it unplugged for 24 hours, and see if that helps.

These are for an E85, don't know if they work on an HS2:

To eject a disc if the unit has locked up - in standby, press Power, Stop and Channel Up for 5 seconds.

To restore all factory defaults - in standby, press Skip Reverse, Time Slip and Open/Close for 5 seconds.
