Quick question for anyone in the know...

The Panny 6 series high definition displays
    TH-42PHD6
    TH-50PHW6
    TH-50PHD6

all seem to have a quoted contrast of 3000:1

    The standard def 6 series
    TH-42PW6B
    TH-42PWD6
    TH-42PA20

    are all 4000:1

Is this because of the extra resolution or some necessary restriction. Alternatively, are these "6 series" high def displays using 4 or 5 series glass ?
