I've been planning to buy the Panny EZ47 combo for a while now - it seems to be the best combo on the market. But does a HDMI lead or RGB scart produce a better picture - or doesn't it matter? I've got a Pioneer 436XDE. I know the tv upscales......

It only matters if you think it does.

HDMI is effectively delivering the RGB signal by a digital link.... but in terms of quality it is no better.

Don't listen to any balderdash that because the link is digital it is better.

However it can offer you such things as progressive scanning which may suit some sources better ... specifically DVD.. but for other normal SD sources there is little advantage to be had.
