Panny E85 chapter thumbnails in DVD-R title page - how?

Hi,

Anyone know if the panasonic DMR-E85 can put chapter thumbnails in the DVD title page of a DVD-R disc? If so, please explain! (All I get so far is a title thumbnail, plus the ability to skip from one chapter to the next or previous one.)

AFAIK you can only set title thumbnails on DVD-R.

Maybe chapter thumbs are visible when you select 'chapter view' from Navi/top menu, but I don't think you can view them on any 'normal' DVD player unless you split so 'chapters' are in fact titles.

Happy to be proved wrong though - would be useful to have chapter thumbs!

I have a Samsung DVD player with a Digest option that will display the first frame from ecah chapter, with nine per page. When loading each page it also plays a couple seconds of each chapter and after loading the page the thumbnail that is highlighted plays and loops. However, if the recording wasn't made in SP or FR mode then the thumnails are larger than they should be and the display is messed up.
