Got my panasonic E50 DVD recorder last week, great machine that has been widely reported on other posts in this forum. The problem ive got is that when I have recorded some video on a Verbatin DVD-r, My Toshiba SD3109 will not play it. Ive tried it in my DVD rom in my comuter and it plays fine. Has anyone else had this kind of problem, I put the the Disc in and the Toshiba just comes up with Disc Error.Would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions about what the cause is, or if there is something I can do about it. As it has really ****** me off

I think you are going to find thats its just incompatability as the SD3109 is quite an old machine.

I suppose you could try some different brands of DVD-R but i think the Verbatin are one of the most compatable ?

Yes I have definately finalised the disc, but must be the Toshiba SD3109, been checking the the web for similar problems with this unit, been on the VCD www.vcdhelper.com websites, DVD compatabilty list, the Toshiba SD3109 is one of the worst for any compatability with dvd-r or dvd+rw, looks like I will have to get a new second DVD player to play my recorded discs. damn:mad:
Maybe asda have been supplying similar models to my old Toshiba

It might be worth getting one of the new Panasonic 35 models which will also play Ram discs and are being advertised for £110 multiregion from AVLand.
