I tend to stick with Panasonic brand DVD-RAMs - available at a good price from the Panasonic Eshop (find the link on www.panasonic.co.uk ). The E55, like any Panasonic or Toshiba DVD-RAM recorder, will take caddied or uncaddied media.

Get the 4.7s in 5 packs.

the 9.4 is a flipper so you can only record 4.7 on each side, and costs much more than 2 individual 4.7s. Therefore a little pointless...

7dayshop.com actually undercut panasonic eshop by a pound on the 5 packs of 4.7s and postage is only a quid I think so also worth considering.

If you want cheaper SVP (blankdiscshop.com) have some other brands which I am just trying to see how they are.

I wouldnt bother with caddys to be honest - the coatings are supposed to be much better these days and caddy is not too important anymore.
