I am in inexperienced DVD user, looking to purchase a DVD recorder in March or April simply to replace my video recorder.

I will not be using it for editing, nor do I have Sky, although I do have Freeview, and may get Sky.

Reading the forums I am not sure which of the above machines to puchase, and would appreciate some help.

I can wait until April/May when the EH50 comes to the UK, but not sure how much it will be, possibly £600 ?

When it is introduced will the D85 no longer be available?

Will it be worth paying the extra money for the EH50 ?

I will be linking it to a Sony 32" widescreen iDTV, and my hi fi.

I was also tempted to buy the Toshiba RDX34 as it has an integral digital tuner.

I had considered getting a PVR, but Im sure my faimly will want to record programmes and watch them on 1 of our other 2 DVD players.

Some advice from more experienced people would be really appreciated.

    yours hopefully, .....
