Panny auto aspect

Hola,

i noticed whilst watching a dvd on 37pv500 that the screen aspect swithches every once in a while, I remeber this coming up before on the forum, can anybody suggest how to get sorted, i know i should search out answer but on work pc at mo.

It is my understanding that the auto aspect mode will Try and adjust the screen to whatever aspect it thinks should be on display. If you have a less than perfect DVD and it has a few drop outs or fleks in the black bars of the picture, it is possible that the auto detects this as picture information and tries to change aspect modes.
I dont use the auto mode on my Viera. I leave it in 16:9 mode all the time as 80% of the stuff I watch is in anamorphic widescreen anyway. Leaving it in this mode, I dont get any auto switching problems.

yeah take it out of auto and use 16:9 most stuff is that anyway
