    Hi all,
ok,i know there are lots of answers to this question but i really need some help.
Over the next few days i will be putting up a false wall[dry wall]
so that i can hide all of the cables to my av setup.
I want to get this sorted before i buy most of the equipment.
So can anyone tell me what cables i will need to put behind the plasterboard to run the following.................
    1.PANNY6 PANEL
    2.PIONEER VSX-501-S A/V RECEIVER
    3.PIONEER S-VLF3 SPEAKERS
    4.PIONEER DVR-3100-S DVD RECORDER
    5.SKY+

Any help and advice would be welcome.
    Many thanks.
    Andy.

if you post a few more details i`m sure you will get more help.

what imput boards do you have to go with panny?
what outputs do you have on dvd player?
are you planning on connecting a pc?
how you planning on connecting sky+?
does your amp have any video imputs and outputs? any signal upconversion?

and speaker wires i`m sure you will work out,
try to keep power cable at a distanst from your signal cables to avoid noise and interferance,

    hope this helps

This is a bit of a monster one to answer in one hit, best to surf the threads to build up a picture.
If you're gonna seal the cables in, best to cover all your bases by installing a good quality set of Component leads, a good scart, an S-video lead and a phono composite lead. At least then most options will be covered. Try Van Damme cables, they do a good range for reasonable price - the Scart & Component are a must have, might as well add the S-video & composite at the same time as for 20-30 quid you'll cover yourself for the future.
I use a scart from the plasma to a Quintro switchbox, all RGB / composite sources go to this making things very simple, DVD via component (at least it will do when I get my Denon 2900 !) and that's that.
There are umpteen other possibilities, but bury these in the wall & you'll cover yourself for 99.5% of possibilities up front.
Also take the opportunity to bury the power cable & keep it away from the source leads as power cables induce an electrical field around them which can cause interference.

Speaker cables & amp set-up ??!!! ...You pays yer money... !!!!
(actually, buy a copy of essential Home Cinema mag, if I remember correctly they have a nice schematic of a set up at the back before the old reviews pages.)

    cheers,
    Andy

Scart from AMP to plasma (run S-vid and component as well) speaker cable for fronts if wall mounting.
Run VGA as well just in case.
POWER leads IEC thats about it really as for how you connect it up SKy+ RGB> amp
    DVD RGB>amp
SKY+ Sbid + audio to DVDR S-video scart
IF DVD-R is main DVD then optical or coax to amp, Sky+ optical to amp. RCA to SUB Speaker cable to speakers.
JOB done pretty simple really, also run trunking in wall with 3+ lenths of thin string so you can pull an extra cables up.
