    Hi all,

I have posted this question before but have never really received any comments or answers on it.

I would like to know the difference between the PZ700 and PZ750? I have searched in this forum and on google but can not find any details. We know the arrival of the PZ700 is very near and pricing already begining toget better (£2000) However, are we (UK) due a release of the PZ750 here? if so when? and why? (must be distinct advantages of it to the PZ700)

Now after long anticipating the PZ700 people have began to comment heavily on the 1080/24 of the PZ700 and its non-capability of it hence causing judder on HD content???

Will the PZ750 sort this issue out? does anyone have any pics of the PZ750 at all?

Finally, I guess we find out 2moro about the forthcoming Pioneer screens? again i presume they wil handle 1080/24 hence giving them a clear advantage over the PZ700?

The PZ750 is a US model and the same as the 700 I believe. It likely won't see the light of day here.

...just thought I'd post a link to the 'judder' and 1080/24p post that I did last night on another thread...

The Americans already have the PZ700 and will be getting the PZ750 soon, though it's described as 'limited availability'...so they are clearly two different models....whereas there is only a PZ700 variety listed in the UK Panasonic site...

...The prices in the US are a LOT less than on this side of the pond, with the PZ750 costing about $500 (£250) more than the 700 version...and there are good reasons to pay that extra, if you are the kind of user who wants to tweak settings to get a better picture...a bit like the people who buy the 'Pro' or 'Commercial' versions of plasmas, like the Panasonic PH9 or Full HD PF9 series, or upcoming PH10...the difference is in menu options and calibration, as far as I can tell, and so there probably won't be any cosmetic differences...

...To answer your question, no I don't think the inputs will be any different, based on what I've read...so 1080/24p isn't mentioned...

...Check out the 'operating manuals' for yourself...

Panasonic PZ700B (British version) operating manual

Panasonic PZ700U (US version) operating manual

...haven't found a 750 manual yet...but here is some info...

    US press release of 2007 Panasonic plasmas, including 50" + 58" PZ750U

I have the Panasonic PZ750U. The resolution for the 700U and 750U are the same (1080p, 1920 X 1080). The differences are that:

    1. The 750U has a "pro-setting" mode, while the 700U does not. This allows a number of color calibration adjustments to be made.

    2. The 750U has a "studio reference" mode, while the 700U does not. Supposedly this duplicates exactly the color used on motion picture studio monitors (but how could I know?).

    3. the 750U has 3 HDMI inputs (one on the front, two in back) versus only 2 HDMI inputs for the 700U.

    4. The 750U has one tuner split screen display, the 700U does not.

If you really want to dial in the color, you might want the 750U. Otherwise, they are pretty much the same. If you bargain well, however, you can get the 750U for the price of the 700U!

    Hope this helps,

    Dr. Gass

There are a couple of pz700 threads already on this board, but the complete lack of anything decent to say about this screen tells me one thing. It simply isn't that good.

Home Cinema Choice was critical of the PZ700's performance with SD material.
Does anyone know how long magazine reviewers run in a TV before they start commenting on it's performance?
It takes quite some time before the PX70/700 begins to impress.

    Those are different panels

    IMO

PZ750U - this one is PZ700 for American market which has 50000:1
PZ750SK, - this one is just announced new panel, 10000 :1

I don't know why they kept same name, this imo will cause a lot of confusions...
