I'm looking to buy a Panny 50", Id like some input from fellow panny owners on picture settings for the panel.
What settings do you use for contrast, brightness etc?
    Thanks in advance

The Panny 50" (series 5) already has 3 picture pre-settings: Cinema, Normal and Dynamic. Cinema is darkest, Dynamic is brightest and sharpest. I generally keep mine on Normal but slightly boost the Sharpness level. Sometimes I put it on Dynamic, especially when I'm showing it off or if a DVD has quite a dark transfer (like Star Trek The Motion Picture Directors Cut), but never use the Cinema setting which I find unacceptably dark.

At the end of the day only you can decide what setting is best for you, though.

'Only' got the 42" (Series 6) and it has Cinema, Normal, Dynamic and Auto.

Like sdh500 I tend to keep mine on Normal, as Cinema really is very dark and auto tends to put it in Cinema mode all the time anyway.
