The PDF from Panasonic says not possible.......our survey says...........

    It is.

1366x768@59.94 worked pixel for pixel in a test I did this afternoon. All being well this should be how we'll be running a demo at The Scottish HiFi Show this weekend.

Isn't that similar to what was found here:

    http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?threadid=462393 ?

Their timing was not exactly the same, but it was very close to 60Hz.

More interesting for us here in Europe would be, whether 75Hz is possible. Or 50Hz of course if handled properly in the plasma and not flickering.

The Lumagen Ryan used and I used has a default 768P@59.94 Hz signal output that the previous D6 didn't recognise as WXGA. Ryan and others worked out the correct parameters for WXGA on the D6 and he has had that working well on his model and I've done it on some other folks.

The D7 however said in it's current an preliminary specs that this was not a supported resolution via DVI. Panasonic UK, I believe, thought this must be an error but had not checked as of yesterday.

I set my Lumagen to it's default WXGA output timing and plugged it in to a D7 and it worked. Recognised with no need for custom timing. It refreshes at 59.94 as far as I can see. I do not believe we'll get it working at 50Hz at that resolution in to the DVI socket.

That's all the info I can give just now. I literally spent 30 minutes helping get the thing out the box and fitting the boards then just testing it was possible. No big set up and demo.

Sorry G, I mis-read your reply as 50Hz, still at least it hasn't gone backwards...
