Hi All, Well I've had my Panny 5 for about a week now and I'd though I'd share my views on the flicker problem. The flicker is def. visible - however it only seems to be visible when you have a large expanse of the a colour with a say writing or a 2nd "opposite" colour next to it. e.g. on mine the NTL "text" pages with a purple background and white writing. However.... similiar pictures displayed via my DVD player (HK DVD25) via component (£90 cables made by local dealer)connections does not flicker - at all. However.... similiar pictures displayed via my DVD recorder (Phillips DVDR880) via composite AV AMP display does - albeit less noticeable than the NTL box. However.... my old Phillips DVD956 flickers a tiny bit on a direct SVIDEO connection. Could this flicker problem be down to quality of source and quality of connections so, a couple of questions:- Q. is there a device (ISCAN / AV AMP or the like) that takes SVIDEO / Composite connections and converts to compoent - if so has anyone used it and with what results? Q. anyone using a very high end sky source for example - flicker noticeable / not, difference between that and DVD? Interesting to hear other thoughts along this line of connection quality / source quality. To be honest it doesn't bother me that much, just thought I'd share my thoughts on it! Robin.
