Well the panny plasma has arrived (thanks Ben) and I russled up a few leads, plugs and connectors to give it a whirl ... wow !!

Connected the DV27 using a computer VGA > RGBHV lead with 3 bnc>phono adapters .. seems to work fine and ... wow ... there is so much depth and colour it really is amazing esp over the orion (which I know was probably 2nd gen glass) ...

hooked up the PS2 and I'm going to have so much fun with that ... tony hawks 3 is great fun .. waiting for Gran Tourismo 3 to come !!

Will hook up the sky+ box later in the week from the lounge ...

    happy days ;-)

Pretty sure the lead is going the opposite way around to how you think...

ie it's the 3 phono to bnc adaptors at arcam end to the VGA plug at Plasma end.....with Arcam set to output an RGB with sync on green signal somehow;)

Got a computer 5bnc > vga cable from maplin (about 15 quid I think), got 3 bnc 'socket' > phono 'plug' adaptors and put those on the rgb bnc's on the cable ...

connected these to the YPrPb phonos on the DV27 and set the sync on G in the menu and voila ...

Now the quality of the cables and connectors isn't great put the principle works fine ... I'll treat it to a nice lo-loss custom cable shortly ...
