I am about to purchase a PWD7 but do not want to use an external audio amp.
Does anybody have any info on driving a pair of 8 ohm bookshelf speakers directly from the panny ?

Would I expect to get reasonable sound at reasonable level?

Many thanks for any info

Thanks Horny
I intend to use a pair of Goodmans Maxims 2 for normal TV viewing, and using
my stereo Teac ref 2 + Tannoy golds for more serious listening.
My main reason for the above is so that my wife can just switch the tv on for instant viewing
What do you think ?
AV Sales seem to think it will be o/k

should be fine mate just dont expect the basic 2 channel AMP in the panny to be LOUD mate (personally i would get a learning remote (HArmony H655) and just use the TEAC system,) taht way she presses one button and whole system comes to life.......
