Just recieved my plasma and after finally getting the component vid input to work from my pioneer 575 picture looks great on interlace settings, but when switching to progressive scan on the dvd player, the picture on the screen flickers when playing discs. So have reverted back to interlace setting, although i was lead to belive that progressive was the dogs ********! is this a common problem with the viera range or have i got things not quite set up correctly?

any help would be appreciated!

Don't use progessive output from the DVD player. Let the Panny de-interlace the signal as you were doing before. Panny de-interlacer is more superior.
