I got till 11.am to decide!!

which is the better unit in terms of picture quality and performance
I like DRC but wondering if its any competition for the ACUITY/prog scan on the panny

I will primarily use RGB Scart (PS2, DVD) and if possible xbox via progressive scan (for NTSC divx movies) and a Pioneer 656A dvd player

    cheers for any feedback

I'd really recommend taking a look for yourself. The PD30 owners will rave about it but personally i didn't rate the naturalness and vibrancy of the picture much. I did actually like the picture on most of the Sony sets i saw on my travels. I ending up going for a 32" Loewe Mimo and am well chuffed. Like i say you should really get a demo with a $ky/Freeview box and some of your fave DVDs. That is the only way you will know you made the right decision. Prob not the answer you wanted though....

This is a hard call but as said its all down to personal preferance.

Most proffessional reviewers rate the aquity as excellent. But then many rated the pixel plus crt's but users on here have problems.

My mate had a sony and the picture looked fantastic but despite all said on these forums his pixel plus blew the sony picture away.

Its is all about individual choice. If its any consolation I have still to make my mind up:blush:

One consistant opinion I have found is that all Loewe's appear to have excellent picture quality:clap:

Todays what video compares the Panny PD30 the Sony 150 and the Philips P+ 2 (9308?). The conclusion was that the Panny and the Philips had better picture quality than the Sony. There wasn't much to choose between the Philips and the Panny but they decided that the Philips was very slightly ahead. The Panny had better connectivity but the Philips was better value.

I bought the 36PD30 last week and have been very happy with it.

They're both excellent sets - it will all be down to which one you prefer the picture of. I've yet to see a PD30 in the flesh.
