I need a new TV to replace an old crt and have fallen in love with the LCD tv's. I've only got space for a maximum of 22" widescreen.

Sharps LC-22SV2E and Panasonic TX-22LT2 both have comparable prices but which is better on sound and picture quality?

Any advice from owners, or people about to make the same decision, would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

The sharp is about £300 cheaper at unbeatable, and the panasonic needs another £130 spent for a wall bracket.
    Panasonic contrast 450:1
    Sharp contrast 500:1

The sharp has a lamp life of 60,000 hours, in other words it will virtually go for ever.
But the Panasonic looks better :)

I am trying to find time to go into town as a local dealer has the sharp 22" on display. I quite fancy the 30" version, any competitions anywhere :)

The Samsung has recently been cut to £2k in places like House of Fraser and Miller Bros. It also has a MUCH better vertical viewing angle than the Panasonic.
