Can someone advise me on the best set overall from these three; PANASONIC VIERA TXP50GT30 vs Panasonic TX-P50G30 vs Panasonic TX-P50ST30.

Is the gt30 worth the extra £300? The g30 can be brought for £830 inc 3 years warrenty or st30 £700 with 3d glasses and 5 years warrenty?

    Totally lost!

Do you want 3D? Do you need freesat? Do you need extra picture controls? Do you have a bright room? is the look of the set important?

Not bothered about 3D although it seems like most good sets now are 3D capable. Don't need freest got sky. Not sure about extra picture controls? My room is bright but I am planning to fit a dimmer switch so not really a problem and the look of the set does not matter, just the PQ and performance for SKY HD, XBOX 360, PS3(HD movies).

    Thanks for your input!

Well the G30 is a good set, ST30 has 3D and a better filter, but less picture controls meaning itll be hard to improve the set much. The GT30 has both a better filter and the extra controls that can improve PQ quite a lot, gamma control alone is worth having. If you have the money the GT has the best 2D, but at a cost, only you can decide if the extras worth it. I will warn you though, I thought my set was free of the green issue, I was wrong, it now has it:( Stunning set otherwise a real shame I will prob need to replace it after only 6 months or so.

Thanks for the info. But replace it? So would you recommend getting a set with a extended warranty? or maybe go for the TXP46GT30 from JL for £1100 with 5 years warranty?

Yes Id recommend buying from a dealer offering Panasonics free 5year, JLs free 5year or paying 10% extra at RS. Many still dont seem to have the issue, but, Im concerned that it may only be a matter of time, Im 100% my set didnt have this issue before.

Is there a big noticeable difference? Well to justify the price?

Dont forget the ST30 has been reduced more in price. There is an improvement to be had and I was happy to pay 1200 a few months back for my 46" GT30. Like I say though its a lot of money, whilst I think its worth it, its you thats spending the dosh so you need to make that decision yourself, as many people who think its worth it would say it wasnt.
