Noticed that the Panasonic VIERA TH-42PV500B in Germany is seliing for list price with Panasonic for 3800 euros = £2400

    Low res TH-42PE50 for 2600 euros = £1640

Just in case people were wondering about the prices etc.

The E50 is selling in the UK for about £2000, or £2400 including the stand (JL, Panasonic shops). Why do we pay more than the continental Europeans?

we suffer it all the time, thank god for the internet. As long as the people of the UK stop paying over inflated shop prices, we will level out with europe in the end :)

The European model only has a analogue tuner, but that should only add £50, at most to the cost. And with the strengh of the pound we should be paying a lot less than we do. Yet another example of rip off Britain.

Try living in Ireland! We typically pay approx 50-75% more than the UK, and we're generally a year behind in models. I love the internet !!
