I am trying to decide whether to buy a table top stand for a new viera screen, to sit on top of my existing AV stand, or whether to go for the matching Panasonic floor stand TYS42PX20W. If I buy the floor stand then it needs to accomodate my 8" high AV amp. Can one of you guys that already has one tell me please if the height of the glass shelves on this stand is adjustable in any way.

Yes the middle shelve is adustable, it can go up or down about an inch.
I have the 37" inch version and I have my 16cm tall Sony amp on the bottom shelf, with my Dvd player on the middle and my Sky+ box on the top. I have also fitted in my center speaker on the bottom along side the amp.
The 42" version is even wider, but I believe the shelf height is the same. :smashin:

You will not get an 8" amp in there on any shelf with any adjustment.

You are ideally allowed 5" + vent space per shelf only.

Unless you completely remove the middle shelf, but not sure you would really want to do that ?
