Hope this hasn't been asked b4 but heres my dilema. I can get a new Pioneer
433 for £2300 inc VAT - however I have never been stunned by the picture
    quality.

I know that with HDMI its meant to be excellent, but I have a Sony SAC 888
Surround sound system which has a component output.

The Panasonic Plasmas seem to have much more depth and clarity to them.

I'll be watching DVD's around half the time, the rest with be Sky.

    What would you do ??

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum :smashin:

I'd personally go for the Viera, unless you'll be using HDMI.

At the end of the day I'm sure you'll be watching day-today tv more than movies, so this should be your prerogative!
