Hi just bought one of these and got it going... whats the "CHK... D.23... DG:1A" which is displayed on the screen constantly?... is it some sort of digital channel check, and will it eventually go away?

    Thanks.

OK this is not good, no-one can tell me what this is.

I've had a good search and I would guess its a setting from the service menu... does anyone know how to access the service menu?

Basically while watching the screen, it says...

    "CHK
    D:28
    DG:1A"

in red in the top right of the screen constantly ,just changing position every 10 sec slighty.

    PLEASE HELP!

If you have just got it, connected to an arial, it should, when you switch it on, start searching for DVB and anologue channels. Did it do that? If it didn't, can you access the normal menu? Start auto tune? If none of these can be done, its fubar'd. Get the shop to collect it or take it back yourself.

Its all working 100% fine, all menus, channels etc... its just this CHK.

I spoke to Panasonic who said its stuck in the Self-Check mode... they would not tell me how to access the service menu to take it out, as I could mess with other settings. This means I probably have to get a replacement from John Lewis... oh fun!

    Problem FIXED!!!

My mate tried a shipping condition reset, as he thought it was strange that when it was first turned on it did not automatically look for dvb channels. We had to do it manualy

So Shipping Reset, turned off, turned on...this time it did automatically look for the channels...and once done no more codes on the screen.

so its tommy two:thumbsup: thumbs to dablk.

    yus.

...now i just have to stop him walking out the house with it.

If it comes with the the ped then yes. I managed to get trafford JL to price match richersounds at £750 without the ped. It would have been 800 otherwise.
