Panasonic TXP50VT20B Still Worth a Shot?

Active Member
Hey guys.
Just spotted Richer Sounds have the Panasonic TXP50VT20B at my local store in clearance at £699.95... I'm no rocket scientist but that is a pretty good price!
Is this TV still worth it at a price like this? Obviously I'm aware the 2011 version is probably miles better, but this TV got some pretty good reviews itself, no?
I'm debating buying it for my bedroom - will be using it mainly as a 2D set...

I would say at that price it's a no brainer. Whilst I have no doubt the 2011 model is a bit better, I also have no doubt that it's not, to use your words, "miles better". I have the 42" V20 which I love and which cost me about £900 (a bargain at the time of purchase), so to get the 50" VT20 at £700 is an absolute bargain - go for it while you still can.
