Narrowed my choice of 36" tvs down to the Panasonic TX36PL30 and TX36PB50. From the reviews and posts on this forum i have read they seem to have the least amount of problems out of the 36" tv's.

The only reasons i'd spend the extra £400 on the PB50 is what features it has above the PL30. The PB50 has dolby digital and DTS (which i don't need as i have a separate 5.1 setup) and PIP which is only any good to me if it can display 2 AV sources (can it?).

Does the PB50 have any other features the PL30 does'nt?

    Both have 2 RBG scarts?

Wouldn't have thought that there was so much to buying a tv :)

Hi Ya Reeves.... see my latest update on " bought my Panaosnic PL30 - why".

You have captured the differences between PB50 and PL30 ( apart from those it is the same TV / chassis etc ).

BUT - it would appear it is these additions on the PB50 that gives it problems the PL30 does not suffer !

Have you ordered that PL30 yet ???

    Rgds Phil
