panasonic tx32pb50 'ghosting'

does anyone know what causes ghosting on tv screens? tv 6 months old tried disconnecting all scarts from tv, fitted two high gain aerials in loft (tried outside but no better- looked stupid), aerial booster plugged in & still ghosting. dvd & ondigi box picture ok. also there seems to be thin black linesapprox. 3 inches in from the side of the screen?
any comments gratefull

Are these thin black lines vertical or horizontal?

the lines are vertical approx 3 inches in from the sides. i can also notice lines when you get a logo on the screen eg. the bbc1 logo

By "Ghosting" do you mean brights colours streaking across darker colours? i.e. credits streak on a black background, usually from left to right...

yes i get 'credit streaks' but i also get faint black lines going down the screen more noticable on a bright background
