not bad for an ID LCD TV but the sharp 32GD1E is better.. panasonic is expensive and lacks a few features that the current crop have...

I'm researching LCD TV's and I'm a bit puzzled by Hornydragon's remark concerning comparative prices/values of the Panasonic TX32LXD1 and the Sharp 32GD1E.
Best price I could see the Panny at was £1370 and the Sharp was over £2200!?
Neither was shown as being HDTV compatible or with progresive scan. Am I wrong in thinking that these are desireable, nay, very desireable features?

The Panasonic is best avoided. It is an old style 15:9 panel with no HDCP compliant HiDef connection. Others are more advanced.

The Sharp as mentioned is getting rare and expensive, but shop around, you never know! Check out the 9976 Philips which comes in at around £1400 ish. Top TV with all Progressive input and HDCP DVI connection.
