I'm considering buying a Panasonic TX28DTM1 but before I do, I want to try and find out a bit more about it e.g. how it handles aspect ratios and if it has any visual flaws - has anyone seen any reviews of this tv? The most similar one linked to this site is for the DTX1. :lease:

I have just got a TX-28PN1 which i think will be similar.

Aspect ratios on this one are handled quite well. there is an auto mode which tends to fish eye the picture ifit's 4:3 to make it 'fit' which is ok unless it's football then it looks horrendous and you have to manually fix it to 16:9 or 4:3 or 14:9 using the remote. Whatever apect you are watching, if it gets a WSS signal it auto changes to wide. I remembers different settings for RF and scart which is useful.

I have a Toshiba 520 dvd player and on rgb it looks very good

Mine has a tilt issue, so look into this first as the PN1 can't be altered.
