    The kit:
    Panasonic TX-P50VT65B
    Sky HD 2tb box
    LG NB4530a Soundbar

All HDMI cables are 1.4 spec.

Sky box and TV are both at the latest software version.

Connected Sky box to HDMI 1 on TV.

TV HDMI 2 (ARC) >>> LG Soundbar OUT

Sky box configured for HDMI - DIGITAL

ARC works, when I turn the TV on the soundbar turns on. But I get no sound either on the TV speakers or via the soundbar when Sky is the source.
If I playback a movie via Media Server I get Dolby Digital soundtrack
If I select an HD channel via the Tuner I get Dolby Digital soundtrack

However, when I'm watching an HD channel on Sky that has DD I get no sound at all on the TV or via the ARC playback route on the soundbar.

If I directly connect the Sky box to the HDMI IN of the Soundbar I get DD straight away. So I know the Sky box is outputting it over HDMI.

I believe the problem lies in the fact the TV HDMI input is not understanding the DD signal coming from Sky. But according to the manual it should!

I want to be able to use the ARC feature without the need for constantly swapping channel inputs and remote control.

Anybody else experiencing anything similar? I'm at the end of my tether with this TV. Just had the fan fix installed and it's not made that much difference to be honest.
