IHELP, HAVE CONECTED AN ETHERNET CABLE FROM TV TO MY ROUTER AND ITS
CONFIGURED OK.

BUT WHAT ARE ITS USES
what do I use it for

i have a g15 where you can use it to access (a) the viera cast services (youtube videos, eurosport archives etc.) by pressing the viera cast button, or (b) freesat internet-based services when these are launched. not sure if the g10 has both these functions.

You can also update the firmware in the System Menu -> System Update.
