    I need a 37" tv for sd tv,films and sport.

    Is the TX-L37E30B the best 37" out there for the price, or is there any thing better?

    Bigger but the ST30 will be better for your needs IMO, better set and mazing value, RS have it for 499...+10% for their 5year.

    Thanks but 37" is the maximum.

    Mixed experiences with the E30 but still better than other 37s

    There is an owners thread. Also look for posts by AlanandEi - he is more than happy with his :)

    I've read all the owners threads, like you say there are a lot of mixed experiences.

    Same with EVERY TV I'm afraid

    Go and look at a few of the options from the main manufacturers and decide on that basis. Buy from a retailer with good CS / returns reputation (JL, RS, Costco, indy Panasonic dealer) and you'll be fine
