    Hi.
My first post so I shall get to the point.
My 4 year old Panasonic 42 inch plasma got the 7 red flashes of death. Repairman say's it is knackered so I am looking for a new telly. Just catching up with the latest TV's on the market and it is quite confusing. But I am getting there.

I have narrowed it down to two. Panasonic Viera TX-50CX680B and Sony Bravia KDL55W829.
I have put Both on 3 day reserve at John Lewis. The Sony W829 is new (£649) and was found lurking in the store room by the salesman. The Panny CX680 is ex display (£735) but not many reviews about it. Both come with 5 year guarantee. Any thoughts good or bad about these TV's?
    Thanks
