Panasonic TV vs Onkyo receiver

I have been running a Panasonic TX P50VT30B plasma TV alongside an Onkyo TX-NR515 receiver. Up until now the two have been working fine but now, when pressing the Viera link button on the TV remote I get the on screen menu saying:

VIERA Link Control Other
Speaker Selection TV

If I try to select Home Cinema for speakers there is no sound through the 5.1 speakers. The two are linked by HDMI from (TV) HDMI2(ARC) and Main OUT on the Onkyo. Fault with the amp?

Possibly one or other has run a firmware update!

Ensure you have HDMI CEC control enabled on both devices!

It would be worth simultaneously power cycling both devices (and any other devices connected to them).
