Hi, and welcome to the Forums.

Sometimes, this kind of thing can happen when the scart connector has not been pushed fully home - it's worth checking.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

I had this a lot when installing cheaper DVD players with Panasonic TVs. They just don't like playing ball together unless you remove the RGB status pin from the SCART lead.

From memory, I think the RGB status pin is number 16. Its easy enough to remedy the situation, just unscrew the cap on one end of the SCART, find wire 16 (Google a diagram) and snip it.

Replace the cap, and plug it back in. You'll find that sorts it. We used to get that problem all the time when plugging the likes of Philips and other cheap players into Panasonic TVs.

Of course, it is possible (like mjcairney says) that the SCART could just be loose, so try making sure it is properly seated at both ends first. I suspect you will need to remove the RGB status pin though.
