Anyone had experience of the Panasonic TUCTH100? Apparently it has only been released in Jan 2005, and most suppliers don't seem to have stocks yet. Quite expensive, but I've always had good results with Panasonic, unlike some other makers such as Humax. Unfortunately I already have a Sony digibox (no HD), and three digital tuners is a bit overkill. Suppose I could always sell the Sony. Any takers?

I'm waiting on this machine too. Really want a Freeview PVR now but am brand loyal to Panny, so will wait.
Can't find anyone with stock yet but if you or others see it for sale please post! :)

I've just e-mailed Panasonic to see when this will be available. Their reply was a bit odd as it was dated 27/01/05 and says it "will be in the market place sometime in January 2005"!
I've e-mailed them back to confirm that this means the next 4 days!

If the TUTCH100 doesn't materialise soon, I'm going to end up commiting violent vandalism to my Nokia 9850 media master OnDigital box.

Media master my ar$e. I have never hated an inanimate object with as much venom as I despise this complete joke of a modern electrical appliance. Please change channel. Press remote harder. Please change channel. Press remote even harder. No response. Turn off at wall socket. Turn on again. Long pause. Aaaaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!
I had 3 of these before OnDigitoss went bust. All terrible. And a Pace. They are all as bad.

I refuse to buy a Goodmans, Pace, Humax, Thompson, Fusion, Alba, Saisho Crown or Bontempi Digi box.

:lease: Please Lord Panasonic, provider of quality electrical appliances, give me a digi box to be proud of.

As someone who works for a well known cable tv company and comes into contact with Pace STBs every day, I can only concurr. Samsung ones are better though.

Latest update from Panasonic (not that it helps much!):

Unfortunately we are unable to give you a launch date for the TUCTH100. We are awaiting further information from our Marketing Department.

Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

    Kind regards

    Panasonic Technical Helpline Team

Ironically if you go to shop.panasonic.co.uk, you've got options to tell a firiend about the TUCTH100 and write a review of the TUCTH100!

on the contrary, received this today: Dear unbeatable Customer,

with reference to your order for the Panasonic TUCTH100, I have the
    latest update from Panasonic.

On speaking with them today, I have been advised that they are hoping to
launch in approximately 4 weeks time. They are extremely anxious to get
this product out in to the market and after the initial development and
technical issues that delayed the planned launch, are in the final stages
    of testing.

We will endeavour to let you know as soon as a confirmed delivery date has
been announced but would estimate, after shipping and transportation to be
    around the middle of March.

We do thank you for your patience whilst you have been waiting and will
pass on any further updates that we receive.

    Kind Regards,

    Maria Eggleden,

    Customer Service
    Buying Department

but note the word hoping. ;)

    You can get a Topfield TF5000PVRt from Satelliteshop.co.uk :

    Dear Sir,
The Topfield is by far the best Freeview PVR available, and of course has the twin tuners which is very useful. We can get the receiver sent direct to you for next day delivery if required and costs £399 + £10 p+p

If you have any queries please feel free to ask

    Yours

    Andy

    SATSHOP

For the spec check-out Topfield's web site at:
    Topfield Austrailia:

Its a bit pricey and I don't know whether there are any compatibility issues but the Aussies seem to like it. Check-out:
