I was going to get the Panasonic DMRES10 but have been told by a local retailer that if I get the Panasonic TUCTH100 that I can record Freeview on it and watch another Freeview channel on my TV through the Humax box I have.
Is this true? If it is I would appreciate reviews.

Yes that is true, the TUCTH100 is a PVR with Freeview and a HDD.
But of course, you won't be able to make a DVD, unless you get the DVD recorder as well. If you never will want to create a DVD to keep something or share with others, and just want to timeshift, then the PVR route is a good one. I haven't seen reviews of this particular unit, but would expect it to be good.

    Thanks both!

    I've decided against it.

    Appreciate your advice.
