So, by looking and comparing the above links, the only difference I can see really in the spec is that the PX7 only has 1 HDMI (PX70 has 2) connection and a lower Contrast Ratio of 8000:1 (PX70 10000:1), is that correct?

Does anyone own one to confirm how good this TV is, I ask because I have seen a really good offer on it and would love to buy one asap.

    Thank you for any help.

I'm looking for info on this tv as well, (the px7) at £899 it is about the best price I've seen for any tv in the sales.

PX7 also is butt ugly and has an older version of the engine. Given how the gap in price between it and the 70 is generally not that bad, I'd take the leap.

Butt ugly? The pictures I've seen of it are identical in appearance as the px70.

Hey Dag, where is it £899?

    Cheers

    it was £999.
I was looking at two 50" plasma's a samsung for £899 & the panny for £999 & got a bit confused when I posted on here. I'll use my age as an excuse.

Btw, both tv's were in Argos.

Phone argos as they seem to have a picture of a px70 but a title of px7 so you may get the px70 for £999 or are have they got a good deal on some px7's and trying to punt them onto the unsuspecting public by showing a pic of a px70.

Thanks for all the replies, I just took the plunge and went for the Argos set, I had a £100 voucher to come off it so only really setting me back £899.

Can anyone recommend a good wall bracket? I have looked around and the prices vary massively but this one seems to have good reviews, I'm not looking for anything flashy, just to be secure!

    Thanks again to all.

That bracket on amazon looks a good price, I've seen those going for all kinds of crazy prices.
I'm a sheet metal worker & if I need a brkt I would just make a one to suit the tv's hole centres, etc. They are rating that brkt for up to 55" & for less then 20-quid, you can't go wrong.

Got the tv today, all set up ok, picture on 'running in' 50% on all settings at the moment. I know this is debatable whether you need to run in or not but I did it with my 42PX60 and that was a great tv so will just stick to tradition.

Have only one gripe so far, I bought an HDMI switch due to this set only having 1 HDMI port and the switch won't work, it's already on its way back to be checked out, I will report back here when I get successful on this problem.

Other than that, picture quality is as good as my PX60, go get this tv at £999 in Argos, bargain.

Considering the drop in spec from a 70 for only a few pounds less I think "bargain" is a bit of an exaggeration, sorry.

I suppose that depends on if you think £130 (with pedestal) + cost of a 3 year warranty is 'only a few pounds' or not.
