The press reviews aren't worth the paper they're written on.
Search this forum for 436 xde and you'll find tons of information from the real experts, the people who own them and use them day in day out. Be prepared though to dedicate a good deal of research time to catch up on it all!
Highly regarded as possibly the best out there at the moment the xde is perhaps the most popular choice here along with the panny pv500 followed by Hitachi 7200.
The xde appears almost faultless, the only problem of note perhaps being a tendency to suffer from image retention. Again a search will provide plenty of information on that front.
The PX60 has only just hit the shops in the last couple of weeks so there's much less info on here from owners, though there are a few threads going and specs are readily available.
The specs of this screen are on a par with the xde but it's looks seem open to debate amongst the masses and due to it being so new any reports of problems have not really had time to surface. On looks alone the xde would appear to win hands down by a majority decision.
Is either screen better? Best advice, if you haven't already, is get yourself off to a reputable dealer and see them both in action for yourself.
The PX60 can be had for about £400-£500 less than the xde but is it poorer for it, let your own eyes be the judge? Also are you wall mounting? Xde is arguably more wall mount friendly with it's seperate multimedia box meaning less cables to bury in the wall.
If wall mounting is not an option how about considering the 436 RXE and SXE also? Priced slightly closer to the PX60 and probably more comparable in terms of being all in one telly's.
