    Dear Guys,

OK guys bought a Damien *666* proof plasma tv from JL Kingston yesterday, it's my first ever flat screen purchase and i'd like advice on what cables I need to buy to run the following:
    1) DVD player
    2) SKY Box
    3) Telewest Box
    4) Playstation
    5) Video recorder

I have worked out that a 5m profigold scart with a splitter box is a start, but what's a S-Video cable and a HDMI cable. Finally is everyone in agreement that the avrabbit wall mount is the way to go ?

    Thanks y'all

    ifty

p.s. for all of you that don't know my son Ayman 15months broke our DVD,Video, and 36"CRT and drastic action has been taken! *lol*:)

Hi, sorry this isn't an answer to your question but what price did you get out of JL Kingston?

    Hi there,

I asked for a price match with currys and dixons who were selling for £869, they have sent my request to their price match team who said they would honour once they checked stock levels.

    Regards

With small kids it´s recommendable to wall mount your plasma, my px60 is safely out of reach from my *666*. If you´re planning to put the cables inside the wall I recommend you just put all cables (3xscart,2xhdmi, vga, component, audio in, audio out) you can connect to the panasonic so if you´re one day buy a blu-ray/hd-dvd you don´t have to open your wall again.

hi, sorry to hijack your post ifty.

i dont suppose you have your JL pm reference for the Panny? (and does someone know whether anybody could use the same reference?)

i'm sure i'm not the only person having trouble getting JL (all london branches) to pm currys atm. any information is mucho appreciated!

    many many thanks!

as for you connections. need to know what output(s) the devices have before we can give you a proper recommendation. but just an idea of what to expect.

1)DVD player - HDMI/component - if it has these outputs
4)PS - RGB SCART (the panny has 2 RGB SCART sockets)
5)Camcorder - VGA / S-video (depending on what outputs it has)

as for the SKY/Telewest boxes... i can't help out as i dont have them.

Sky / Telewest should use an HDMI cable too. :)

I'm also interested to know if you get JL to price match this as Kingston is my local branch.

    Thank you all for replying.

I have some more information to support my price match claim, I went back to Kingston and went into the [email protected] shop, it's behind Bentalls centre near soccer world. The guys their are absolutely ace, they sell the panny px60 for £900 with a 5yr no quibble gurantee too. They are the only panasonic shop to do this to directly compete with JL.

I called the AV JL team spoke to Anne and told her the above information and she said they would honour the £900 as this was checked immediately.

As for the reference I have one, but it's a customer requirement number which relates to my price match claim is this what you need ? I believe the number is specific to me however as soon as I confirmation I'll post the letter if that's allowed ?
