Panasonic TH42PWD8 plasma - screen excessively bright

I've got a TH42PWD8 plasma that's got a good couple hundred hours of viewing on it, but I still have one problem.... the screen is very bright. I've tried playing around with the picture settings but I still have issues when white and yellow are shown together... they just appear to be the same colour.

Anybody able to shed some light (pun intended) on my problem? :lease:

Needs Engineers Attention!

Could be several problems:
Colour distortion
Memory
Data or Address line stuck at zero
loose connection.

GoodLuck!

HI
I know this may be a bit late but having worked with hundreds of these the fault sounds like the composite input card (seen it a few times).. try removing the card & connecting your pc to the vga input.. if the pic is ok then its the video card (ebay around £30)...

Hope this helps..
