Panasonic TH42PE50B - Buzzing Sound

I have just purchased a Panasonic TH42PE50B and there is a low buzzing noise comming from it. The noise is higher pitched and louder when a light/bright picture is on the screen and lower when a dark picture is on the screen. I can hear it even over the sound of the crowd when watching football.

Does anyone else have this problem or is it something I should be sending the TV back for?

Please help!

I've got the 37" model and don't have this problem... give the retailer a call and either get someone to come and have a look or send it back.

Mine does "buzz" (I think all of them do to an extent) but it's not audible from my viewing postion, only if i am very close to it can I hear it.

Im on my second 42pv500 in 2 months due to the buzzing issue
am told its normal

Make sure you have got it turned off DYNAMIC MODE in ALL inpuets AV1,AV2, DVD, Analogue, Component etc.

Set to to Normal or cinema.

This will reduce the buzz and increase the life of your plasma.

Don't worry if it looks a little flat at first - you will soon realise dynamic mode is the son of satan

Daft question (its late).. surely you only need to set Dynamic on the inputs you use..?

Yes you do....but you might get a HDMI DVD player in a few months and forget, so you may aswell take them all off dynamic.

To me xbox looks the best through dynamic mode! Even if everyone tells me different! I do still need to dve it though!

What settings have you got your xbox going through?
