I have just purchased a Panasonic TH42PE30. Generally, very happy with it. But when the Sky+ box is connected to it through RGB scart on AV1 the quality isn’t as good as when it was connected to my old Philips 28” widescreen CRT set. All the settings on the Sky+ box are the same, output set to RGB and scart switching. There seems to be colour bleeding and slight edge definition lines between dark and light subjects which was not present on the Philips. Is this to be expected when viewing Sky through a plasma set, or is there ways of getting better picture quality out of the Sky + box. I switched the Sky+ box between PAL and RGB output and didn’t notice much difference in picture quality. On the Philips such switching produced significant differences in quality.
