I'll be buying one or the other tomorrow (probably) - they are both £799 in Currys.

The Panny is Plasma and the Sammy is LCD - I'm no expert and probably won't really be able to tell the difference between the 2, so which do I go for? I've heard so many conflicting reports about Plasma over LCD and vice versa that I'm confused.

It will be used with a bog-standard DVD player, Sky+ and a Wii - the Panny has one more Scart but the Sammy has a higher pixel count.

Additionally, is there a better way to connect the Sky+ other than scart?

Thanks in advance for any pointers you can give :smashin:

Can anyone offer an answer to the better TV of the two?

Basically, it comes down to Plasma or LCD on a 37" screen - what do you guys recomend?

I don't know much about the Sammy but I have a 42PX and its riddled with snakes...before you part with cash have you read the Colour Problems thread...? Might be worth a look.

    :)
