Panasonic TH37PX60 advice!

My PX60 has developed 'purple snakes', so I phoned Currys who put me onto Tech Guys. When I spoke to them, they said they had to take the TV away for a 'few days' to run tests to see if they can see the fault. I was under the impression that they did the repair at my home. Not so, they tell me. I asked what I'm supposed to watch while they've got my TV, they said ask Currys, great! So, they said 'if' they find a problem, they'll order the part from Panasonic (I mentioned the D-PCB, but they didn't take any notice). What I'd like to know if, has anyone else been through this situation? What happened when you got your TV back? Was the problem fixed? If it isn't, what options do I have? I'm p*ssed of with these companies, as I've now go to take 2 days of holiday from work to wait to get the TV collected and returned.
