PW7's seem to be very popular at the moment, judging by the info available on this forum.

I'm after a 37" to replace my 28" Phillips telly which can't process RGB signals properly from my Panny E55. So, are they a good buy @ £999.95? I'd need a stand, and presumably a component input board. These seem to be about £160 each  am I looking in the wrong places or is this the going rate?

If anyone has bought one recently then could I ask where you got it from?

    Cheers.

A quick look at PriceRunner and I would say sub 4 figures for a premium brand plasma sounds like a bargain to me. *EDIT* There's one site doing them for £964 but with delivery that creeps up to over £1k best check how much Richer Sounds want for delivery, if memory serves me correctly it's around the £60 mark.

Stands are around the 120 - 150 quid mark but if you're willing to import from the states then you can get them for approx 60 squids.

As I have a Plasma TV I'm afraid I can't comment on the prices for additional video processing boards. A search on the forum will reveal more info or maybe someone will be along in a minute with more info :)

Unfortunately at my local branch of RS they seem to be up to their usual tricks.

Richer Sounds Guide to Making a Bundle:

    (i) Advertise a good product (boxed and ungraded) at a great price

(ii) When a customer tries to buy tell them 'we have no stock'

(iii) try to sell them the unboxed graded display product for the same price

(iv) try to upsell to an inferior product at a much higher price point

    (v) When all else fails suggest they come back next week when 'we may have some more stock'

    (vi) Following week, goto (ii)

So great buy if you can find them.

    Cheers.

I've just had a look and RicherSounds still looks very tempting.
60 quid for delivery is one thing, but 150 for a stand! Oh well, it's only money!

Just read your comment SShaw after speaking to RicherSounds in Chester, who "might have one downstairs". Sounds familiar.

    I'll keep looking though!
