If this is the case however does anyone know if i can get a dvi input card or will my tuner box surfice as it has component with prog scan! also for hdtv doesnt it need to be able to cope with 1024/724?
thanks for ur help in advance

PW4 is an SD plasma of 852x480 resolution that will down scale anything over that resolution... PAL DVD's get down scaled etc as does PAL TV I cant remember if the Tuner, 400 model that connects via RGBHV RCA cable, will accept a higher res signal via component. My advice to make the most of the panel is ditch the panny tuner and and Get a DVDO IScan HD scaler circa £1000........ and use that as video switch (you lose scart and analogue tuner but) gain much higher quality video processing and other options. There is no DVi input available for the PW4 so the DVi on the Iscan would not be used ( but great for when you upgrade to a newer HN panels Still circa £3k and only 42"/43 and 50+" sizes.....) LCD may offer the best upgrade route... something like this http://www.sharp.co.uk/aquos_tv/range/products/product.asp?id=26
Which is higher resolution and HD compaytible and includes Digital video connection.

Or you could go for a Panny PHD6.... Hi DEf plasma???? Similar money or Progressive AV were doing the Fujitsu 50XHA for £3.5k which is a huge jump.......... PQ and size wise.....
PErsonally i would suggest an in home demo of an Iscan HD on your plasma which is a good idea anyway if looking to maximise PQ from any plasma and compare it to a Pio

been reading the reviews of the fujis but they dont ever seem to be coming out that great any more. is it because some of the others are getting better or are they doing a sony by just trying to sell themselves on there name??
I think 50" is a lil to big i mean i only sit 12 feet away it wud be an eye strain and a half that.
