Following a rare check of AV-Sales plasma prices this morning I noticed this screen was now £2974, which is a fair drop since I last looked a few weeks ago and includes the wall mount and dual slot board. Is this old news? Is this a good price now, or should I be waiting for even heftier price falls before the next generation release?

I haven't really been paying attention to the forum for a few weeks so sincere apologies if I'm going over old ground, but a search didn't seem to find any recent references to this. If someone could direct me to a related thread I'll get me coat ...

If you want a good 50" plasma, that would appear to be the best buy around at the moment. I haven't seen one with a good scaler, but those that have say they will give give you the best flat panel picture. Period.

There's a thread in the plasma power buy special offers forum, just below this one in the pull-down list.

I thought it was something like £2874, though.

Quite right Nick - mis-typing on my part.
Chedmaster - now you've done it! I'll have to go back now and work out why I decided on the PHD7 all those weeks ago. And then I'll end up ploughing through all that HD-ready 50/60Hz stuff which made me put the whole thing on hold last time!
