Recently my Panasonic TH-P42PZ700U TV has been having some issues. The right half of the screen will either be black (one quarter usually) or there will be angled off vertical lines (usually both quarters). I can turn it off, then back on and the problem goes away. Is this something that is an easy fix (like an input board or a control board) or is the TV on its way out?? I love plasma technology, as I am a gamer and watch lots of action movies (I HATE motion lag - this TV has NEVER had any at all).
I do not like LCD technology, as it is just too slow on the response time and refresh rate (since all modern TVs are LCD based, this creates a dilemma). If I have to replace it, the choices out there aren't that great. I did look at a Sony 900 series 4K unit and it looked okay (they were running a game demo from a Playstation 4 and I could not really see any motion lag, but in actual use things may be different).
If anyone has any ideas, your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I won't even consider a Samsung TV, as I feel they pretty much suck. LG would probably be the only other brand I would consider besides Sony, unless someone can show me that a brand like Vizio or the like is worth owning.
