    ok, hope someone can help...
recently bought one of these connected my sky and one box 5.1 dvd system into the avi sockets ,and my samsung hd dvd recorder into hdmi port 2.
    everything worked fine.
so today tidying cables up i unplugged some and reconnected - accidentally i plugged the samsung into hdmi port 1, switched on the tv , everything worked apart from the samsung; realised my error - switched everything off and reconnected the samsung into hdmi port 2.
now the samsung wont work, however if i disconnect an avi socket and connect the sasmung into the tv via avi it works fine.
ive tried different hdmi cable with no success; and connected the samsung to a different tv which works fine.
i havent been rough with the hdmi cables / sockets, i just cant understand why it worked last night but now i cant get anything to show.
the samsung seems to play dvds / hdd library - i just cant see or hear anything on the screen.

im a novice at this, so be gentle with me please...
