First of all I am sorry for another of these threads. I have read loads of them and they just seem to confuse me :D

I think I have decided on the above screen but need some help on what I need to get it connected to other equipment.

    Heres what I have currently

    Terrestrial TV through RF areial
    DVD player (Sony DVP-NS700V)
Xbox (modded not sure if that makes a difference here)
    PC (occasionally maybe)
    DTS Amp (Sony STR-DE475)

I am planinng to get sky digital and scrap the terrestrial signal. Get a Panasonic DMR-E65EBS DVD Recorder and scrap my current DVD player.

So as I understand it, the Sky Box will go into the DVD Recorder converting the signal to component. The component signal will go into the free component input board on the screen. This will give a good signal from the Sky box and the DVD player with added functionality of a dvd recorder. Can the terrestrial RF go into the DVD Recorder if I decide against sky?

I assume sound will go from optical digital out from the DVD Recorder to the DTS amp I already have.

I assume the PC can connect to the VGA input on the screen.

What will be the best way of connecting the Xbox up?

I think thats it, any suggestions, advice, etc greatly welcomed.

    Cheers
    BM

same questions as I have.... looking forward to finding out the answer :)

I think (!) all that you need in addition is a scart board for the plasma and run the xbox through it? I may well be off the mark there though

    hi,

I am also considering buying a PW7 but can't view one anywhere. I am about to sell a good fujitsu plasma with some problems on dark scenes to buy a PW7. Is the PQ of the pw7 almost as good as a good crt screen (I dont expect it to be as good). In other words does it have blur or edgeiness on fast moving scenes or are there any other probs. Like I said, my fujitsu is really good on most DVD's but not too good on dark scenes (Moria on LOTR:fellowship and Master & Commander for example). Will I be making a mistake in selling my old fujitsu to buy a panny pw7. I need fast response since I'm selling it this afternoon.

    thanks

And if you have a sound system, you might as well get a component switching amp and not 2 component boards.
